Northern Lights Secondary School is located on the customary and traditional lands of the Omushkegowuk People – Ililiwuk or Ininiwuk – since time immemorial. We acknowledge this sacred land on which the school operates, within the lands protected by the James Bay Treaty – Treaty no.9. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work alongside the youth in their pursuit of education. Let us also acknowledge the people that have come before us, who are here now, and those that will come after us.
